Mr. Greenfield-Turk, can you describe in a few words what exactly your company does?
As a Private Travel Designer who curates bespoke, personal, and one-of-a-kind adventures for my clients. I am able to access and create unique experiences by leveraging my global network, the power of Virtuoso and my 25+ years of luxury travel experience to create moments that matter.
From individual and family escapes to road trips, honeymoons, and even last-minute emergencies; I have everything covered and plenty of tricks up my sleeve too. I operate with the utmost integrity and discretion, and only my clients know that I am working on their behalf.
But there are already a lot of travel agencies…
You are correct there are but I believe that everyone no matter their sexuality or gender expression deserves the same opportunity to experience the world and enjoy moments that matter. This carries through to every client brief and proposal and with every supplier I work with. Many travel agencies are nothing more than order takers. My agency believes in being a travel partner for our clients.
What do you enjoy most about your job every day?
I think it has to be that there is something new and exciting happening all the time and, something to learn despite my years of experience in tourism. Travel is not just about discovering new its also about discovering new from old.
If you could get on a plane tomorrow, where would you go?
This is easy, Zimbabwe or South Africa both are significant as I grew up in Cape Town and married a Zimbawbwean. Both are epicureal experiences that offer incredible food and culture. Both offer amazing safari’s and both have the most amazing weather. Zimbabwe is something special and there are so many great unique lodges and resorts to experience. It also has an exceptionally welcoming and vibrant culture.
And which destinations are currently most in demand from your customers?
I am seeing quite a bit of interest in the Maldives - the private island escape to recuperate is a big ticket bucket list for many clients. For families its Africa - the chance to see lions, leopards, elephants and to reconnect with nature in a unique way.
