A highly interesting discussion with healthy drinks at a beautiful location

On Wednesday afternoon, 09.04.2025, the 1st Fundplat «Experts Roundtable» took place in Dubai. For the meeting, we chose Joe & The Juice, which is in a prime location in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). We ordered healthy fruit juices to keep us absolutely fit during the two hours. I had the honour of moderating the conversation, which was attended by (in alphabetical order) Stephan Bedoe, Nevari Capital Properties LLC, Vera Doljenkova, VERO360 Degrees Solutions and Laaleen Sukhera, Social League. All live and work in Dubai. Thank you very much, it was fantastic, we will stay in close contact! Thomas J. Caduff, CEO, Fundplat LLC

• Caduff: Ladies and Gentleman, what do you like and appreciate most about Dubai?

Doljenkova: Opportunistic spirit, comfort lifestyle and successful people around.

Bedö: What I love most about Dubai is the fascinating, open-minded people from all over the world, the safety, lifestyle, and dynamic energy that fills the city. It’s a true business powerhouse, and at the same time an ideal place for my family with its family-first approach, safety, and top-tier education and healthcare options. Dubai’s goal is to be number one in every aspect, which offers countless opportunities for growth and success. It’s the city of the future, and being part of this forward-thinking place is truly inspiring.

Sukhera: The entrepreneurial energy and cosmopolitanism here – 200+ nationalities comprise 90 percent of our city – is like no other. Combine that with unparalleled services, lifestyle amenities, top-notch safety and security, and you’re spoilt for life. That’s why the world’s best and brightest want to live and work here. Like other global capitals, people who live here get targeted by online scammers. Social League heightens authenticity with IRL introductions to like-minded people.

• Caduff: Competition is fierce in all areas. How can you position your business successfully – do you have unique selling propositions (USPs)?

Bedö: The real estate market is highly competitive; however, we’ve successfully positioned ourselves by focusing on our Swiss roots, which represent trust, quality, and precision. With deep market expertise and a strong understanding of geopolitical dynamics, we bring a unique perspective. We are also investors ourselves, so we understand both sides of the equation. Our approach is tailored to client needs, adjusting services to each client’s unique goals, whether it’s buying, selling, high-ticket investments, or full support with trusted partners in business setup, financing, tax and more. We focus on offering only hand-picked, prime properties and investment options, supported by an extensive network that gives us access to off-market opportunities, especially in the high-end market. Our success comes from building win-win situations, and our full-service approach ensures clients receive comprehensive care in every aspect of their real estate journey.

Sukhera: I’m pleased to say that Social League is unique in combining social networking with relationship building, addressing a significant need in a cosmopolitan city like Dubai where people work hard and don’t have time for fleeting acquaintances and endless chats. As an antidote to digital swipe culture, Social League is your go-to for meaningful connection, community, and commitment, with numerous success stories to our credit! No other entity offers our winning formula – a welcoming community of highly accomplished professionals, a database of 3,000+ singles, curated in-person events, and tremendously successful bespoke matchmaking services.

Doljenkova: Yes, we provide tailor-made services for our clients to keep up with their needs in business. We are selling solutions not services.

• Caduff: You are entrepreneurs, can you tell us – without revealing any secrets – what your goals are for this year?

Sukhera: Firstly, to continue welcoming wonderful people to Dubai with a readymade social circle and valuable opportunities to live their best lifes. Secondly, to support senior professionals in the region and internationally, including single parents and those looking to start families, with their relationship goals through curated introductions. Thirdly, to continue expanding globally with business collaborations.

Doljenkova: Grow 300 percent and keep breathing!

Bedö: We have very ambitious goals for this year. Our primary focus is to significantly multiply our sales transaction volume. To support this, we’re starting to hire talented employees who will help us scale, professionalize our processes, and bring more power to the team. We’re also working on expanding our network, onboarding more strategic partners, and continuously aiming to create win-win situations for everyone involved.
