A highly professional Swiss platform in Abu Dhabi for successful wealth managers

What a great pleasure and honour! On Friday, 27.06.2025, I was invited to lunch at the «Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental» by Michael Künzi, who heads the Marcuard Heritage office in Abu Dhabi. We chose the Mexican restaurant «ALMA» right by the huge pool area, just a few metres from the beach. The service was excellent and the food – we ordered light meals in this heat – was delicious.

Michael is an extremely experienced banker and wealth manager with a very impressive career. I was able to ask him many questions about the financial centres of Abu Dhabi and Dubai and he answered them competently and patiently. He also gave me many new insights into what is going on in the Persian Gulf, especially on the part of External Asset Managers (EAMs) and Family Offices (FOs).

This topic is extremely exciting, as these segments are growing very strongly. Marcuard Heritage with offices in Zurich, Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Limassol, specialises in being a platform for successful wealth managers with an interesting client portfolio. Everything is organised in a highly professional manner and the advisors have so much time for their clients, which is often lacking at a bank. I very much hope to see Michael again soon!
