These 4 days in Dubai were one of my most interesting business trips in my 45 years of professional life

To make a business trip successful, you have to consider two things: choose the right city and meet fascinating people. That’s exactly what I did from Wednesday, 31.07.2024 until Saturday, 03.08.2024. This time I was accompanied by my wife, who is a fashion designer. We met wonderful personalities from (alphabetically): Abu Dhabi, Africa, Dubai, Egypt, India, Italy, Russia, Uzbekistan, and of course Switzerland. With every trip I make to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), I understand more about how people think and how they do business. The enthusiasm is great when you say you come from Switzerland, and our mountains are especially loved. The topics of conversation were (alphabetically): banking, cashmere, events, financial products, jewellery, legal, real estate. Our hotel was – as always – the magnificent «JW Marriott Marquis» in Downtown. Before leaving, I enjoyed an Indian breakfast (there are delicacies from all over the world) with a breathtaking view.
