Dubai is also a paradise for buying gold, silk and spices
To explore the various markets in Dubai as efficiently as possible, I booked a private driver with excellent local knowledge on Saturday, 19.10.2024. He parked his Lexus near the sea and walked around with my wife and me for hours, showing us many places that tourists don’t find so easily. It was like a dream! My wife is a fashion designer and bought several metres of the finest silk from our Afghan friend Mr. Abdul from Kabul, then we had a look at the huge selection of gold shops and were enchanted by the exotic spices. All the sellers were super nice and patiently answered our questions. We gave them lots of compliments, which made them very happy and proud.
