A wonderful Greek night on the beach in Dubai
In my 45 years of professional life, I have got to know many cities. But I know of no other place in the world where it is as easy to make new contacts as in Dubai. Of course, this is mainly due to the fact that most residents have only been living here for a short time. And then there are the many travellers.
One of my absolute favourite restaurants is «GAIA», which is located in the Gate Village of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) – I have already written about it. A few days ago in Dubai, I learnt all about «J1 Beach» – The Spirit of the Riviera. I was immediately impressed! So on Thursday, 26.06.2025, I asked the hotel concierge to reserve me a place for dinner at «Sirene Beach by Gaia».
The top address was very busy, with new guests constantly arriving in the world’s most famous car brands. There was Greek live music, the service was fabulous, I enjoyed artichoke salad with aged graviera, spring onion, citrus dressing with fresh truffle and half a chicken with lemon, oregano and toursi. Young people from London and Paris were sitting at the next table. They work in the finance and advertising industry – we became friends straight away!
