From DIFC into the future: A wonderful week in Dubai
On Friday, 17 April 2026, I wrapped up my week in Dubai in style – with a few non-alcoholic drinks at Luna Bar, the spectacular rooftop terrace of the iconic Four Seasons Hotel DIFC. The photo was taken by the charismatic and exceptionally courteous Ignacio Olivera, Assistant Outlet Manager.
It was one of the best business trips of my life – defined by outstanding moments and an impressive concentration of memorable experiences. A true highlight was the 1st Fundplat «The Finance & Future» Session 2026, held on the terrace of the Penrose Lounge at the Four Seasons (see link to the story). The event was a great success, also reflected on LinkedIn with around 46,000 impressions and over 200 likes.
We are honoured to host the upcoming Sessions at this cosmopolitan location. The 2nd edition is already scheduled for August. The setting is ideal – just a few minutes’ walk from the DIFC Innovation Hub and the Dubai AI Campus. It provides the perfect backdrop for our key themes, which we also explore at our events in Zurich and St. Moritz: AI, Blockchain, Digital Assets, Longevity, Robotics, and Sustainability. Thomas J.
