Dubai is becoming a must-have location for family offices with an international clientele
The growth of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is breathtaking. Every major financial address in the world is represented here. The famous family office locations of Zurich, Geneva, London or Monaco will, of course, retain their enormous importance – their ecosystems have evolved over decades and work perfectly. But for those seeking strong growth and entirely new client segments, Dubai is an absolute must.
Everyone in the international financial industry knows the advantages of the DIFC. Listing them all would go beyond the scope of this post. My recommendation: study the website – and, above all, travel to Dubai and see it for yourself. We are responding to this development: I am regularly in Dubai. At the 2nd Fundplat «The Finance & Future» Session on Wednesday, 4 August 2026, at the Four Seasons Hotel Dubai International Financial Centre, Alex Boss of CAIAC Fund Management AG, Liechtenstein (see link: «Von Vaduz über Zürich nach Dubai: Liechtensteiner Fondskompetenz für den Nahen Osten», Zürich, 22.07.2026), was also there. We spontaneously decided to have dinner together that evening – in casual clothes – at the fantastic COYA in The Restaurant Village at the Four Seasons Resort in Jumeirah. Service and food: a dream. There are probably few better places in the world than Dubai to indulge clients. For family officers in particular, this is an important part of the overall experience offered to Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs).
Alex’s business is highly relevant for family offices – this segment is growing rapidly in our database. That is why I invited him to speak at the 11th Fundplat «The Finance & Future» Summit in St. Moritz in September 2027. He accepted on the spot. I thanked him with a handshake. Thomas J.
