A true master of cross-border funds distribution - and at the grill
When visiting a new city, it is natural to explore its renowned restaurants. In November 2024, I invited Steffen Hölscher of Acolin Europe AG, Frankfurt, to the «Walliser Kanne» in Zurich (see the link: «Wonderful Swiss fondue with a true Frankfurt professional in the European funds industry»). On Wednesday, 22.01.2025, I was in Frankfurt, and Steffen made an excellent choice with the «Buffalo Steakhaus», which has been open since 1973.
We arranged to meet at 8:30 pm, and since the owner – whom Steffen knows very well – was present, we were even allowed a quick look into the kitchen. I was amazed at how talented my host is at the grill. For us, there was a wonderfully tender filet steak served as a whole cut for two people, accompanied by baked potatoes with sour cream. It was absolutely divine! Thanks to Steffen’s great connections, we were seated at a fantastic window table. This restaurant is highly recommended!
But it wasn’t just the food we thoroughly enjoyed; we also had an in-depth business conversation.
