A great place in Zurich for tartare lovers - highest quality at the lowest price!

To recover from the hard work, I stayed in Zurich on Sunday, 02.02.2025. Because tomorrow I’m travelling to Frankfurt and next weekend to St. Moritz. Then it’s a few days in Zurich before I visit Dubai and Abu Dhabi. London is on the agenda for March.

The «Central Plaza Hotel» is not only highly recommended for overnight stays, the restaurants «Central 1», «King’s Cave» and «Central Garten» as well as the bars with live piano music are also brilliant. The area is huge (photo 3 is only a very small section of «Central 1», where I was) and the facilities are cosmopolitan. Guests come from all over the world. I always feel like I’m in Dubai here. For lunch, I ordered beef tartare (raw minced beef) with fried quail egg, toast and butter as well as French fries with ketchup and mayonnaise. It tasted sensational! And the prices are also absolutely phenomenal. The tartare costs just 25 Francs, the fries 7 Francs – and that’s in Zurich city!
