ETF TV News for 18 January 2021: Three new issuers and a focus on Russia
We saw 20 new ETFs come to market from 11 issuers, on 9 exchanges across Latin America, the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific and 18 new cross-listings during last week the week of January 17th .
Three new ETF issuers last week: Dohod Investment Company from Russia, Ridgex formed by Norilsk Nickel and XP Inc in Brazil across nine exchanges – the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia
The breakdown of products is for 13 equity products, four commodity, four precious metals – Gold, Silver, Platinum and Palladium – two fixed income and 1 bitcoin products.
Within those were five thematic, four active ETFs and four buffer products. Two were ESG focused. Geographically five had exposure to China – three thematic and one leverage and one inverse, with one MSCI Europe and one for Russia.
