Swiss chocolate also makes people in Dubai super happy!
We met shortly before Christmas 2024 at the «Widder Hotel» in Zurich (see link: «A conversation about quant investments in Zurich with an Italian super brain from Dubai») and arranged to meet in Dubai in February. On Wednesday, 19.02.2025, Andrea Nardon invited me to breakfast at the highly exclusive «Four Seasons» at the Gate Village in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This place is very convenient for him as he lives across the road in a gorgeous flat, where he resides with his wife and their young son. They have a breathtaking view over the financial district and as far as the Persian Gulf.
When someone already has everything, like Andrea, you naturally wonder what to give as a present. Andrea knows Switzerland very well, so I bought him some fantastic Läderach chocolate at Zurich airport. He was delighted! We continued our business conversation from Zurich and I was once again impressed by how successful Andrea is. It’s certainly no exaggeration to call him a «Master of Quant Investments». Another thing that always impresses me is how charming and approachable he is. With an international network of outstanding contacts like his, this is anything but a given.
Of course, I took the opportunity to invite him to the 3rd Fundplat «The City Talks» Afterwork on Wednesday, 09.04.2025, at the prestigious «Capital Club Dubai», which is right next to the hotel.
